Organic farmhouse Rupbauer – Self-catering facility
Organic farm
The Rupbauer is an organic farm and lies in the middle of its own meadows and fields, surrounded by the mighty Dachstein massif. For self-catering the whole farm is rented. At the Rupbauer can accommodate up to 16 people. 6 double rooms and a small apartment. On the 1st floor there are 4 rooms, 2 rooms and the apartment on the 2nd floor. All rooms are equipped with shower, toilet and TV.
The kitchen
A modern kitchen with gas stove, wood stove, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, fridge and freezer are available for you. Cookware, dishes, cutlery is also available. The wood for the stove is provided by us.
The sauna
Well-being and wellness at the organic farmhouse Rupbauer. The newly built sauna area offers recreation and relaxation on vacation. In the winter, it’s time to refresh yourself in the snow, in the summer to the shower or the swimming pond.
The dining room
The old farmhouse parlor is also a lounge and dining room. Furthermore, there are additional shower rooms and toilets on the ground floor.
The rooms
There are 6 double rooms in the organic farmhouse Rupbauer and a small apartment if required. All rooms have a bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a satellite TV. Bed linen is provided, please bring your own towels.
The surrounding
At the self-catering house Rupbauer is a bus stop. Within 15 minutes you can reach supermarkets, post office, cafe and restaurants. Children’s adventure path on the Sattelberg, children’s climbing trails, sports shops, vet and church are also within easy walking distance. Directly in front of the house is the bathing pond, hiking and walking trails, mountain bike trails, running and Nordic walking trails.

Summer active
In summer you can relax at the private bathing pond directly at the house. The organic farmhouse Rupbauer is the ideal starting point for active vacationers and offers the right balance in nature. Mountain bike trails, hiking and walking trails, via ferrate and high alpine tours start on the doorstep.
At Ramsau Beach (about 3 km) there are Beach volleyball, sliding soccer and the forest high ropes course “Forest Park”. In addition to many hiking and mountain biking trails on the Ramsauer Plateau and Almregion, the rock of the Dachstein south faces offers countless sporting challenges. Climbing and alpine tours in all difficulties for sport climbers. Secured via ferrata for beginners. Special via ferrata for children and adolescents.
Tip: Probably the most beautiful via ferrata in the Alps is “Der Johann”. A via ferrata through the south walls of the Dachstein massif.
Winter active
In winter, the cross-country trails of Ramsau am Dachstein pass the organic farmhouse Rupbauer. Up to 220 km Classic and sports trails and wide winter hiking trails invite you to move in fresh, clear air.
For ski enthusiasts there are plenty of slopes on the high plateau of Ramsau for beginners, sun seekers and families. The ski region Ramsau with the Dachstein Glacier is located in the Ski Amadé Ski Association. Best fun on the pistes with just one ticket for a total of 760 km. A free shuttle bus will take you directly from the self-catering Rupbauer to the large ski mountains Planai, Hochwurzen Reiteralm and Hauser Kaibling.
Winter enjoyment
Romantic sleigh rides lead from the self-catering house Rupbauer, around the Kulmberg. For individualists, the holiday region around the Dachstein massif offers plenty of choice for snowshoeing, ski touring, freeriding or fatbiking.
